Success in Village Photo Competition!

St Mary's Nativity photo is one of the winners!
The photo taken at St Mary's Nativity was entered among others into the 'Twelve Days of East Leake Christmas Photo Competition', and became one of the twelve winners.

Well done to all the children who took part.

It is the first time such a competition has been held and we look forward to future ones.

St Mary's will be holding its Family Party and Pantomime this Saturday at 4.00pm in the church, if you'd like to join us for the fun.  Please bring something towards the party food, and if any children would like to take part, please bring a lampshade (to be worn on the head!). Adults are welcome to do the same if they wish!  It's all good fun. Any photos taken (especially silly ones) will be welcome, but remember to get the person's permission first.
You can send them to our email on: .

Epiphany!

Do you know what Epiphany means? It's when you suddenly realise the meaning of something.
First you don't understand something new, but when someone explains it to you, it's like a little light bulb going on in your head, and you understand.
The Three Wise Men had an Epiphany when the baby they visited really was the Son of God come down on Earth.  Wow!

So what are you going to discover this new year? Are you going to discover that Jesus was a real person and can help you solve your problems; that He was the Son of God and is waiting for you to carry on his good work? He meant for us all to love and care for one another, take care of this wonderful world and everything in it. He's the solution to all the world's problems and is there 24/7.  Just ask.
